Vacancy for a Win32 Delphi Developer 

About the job:

This is a position suitable for a Delphi developer to work on several innovative desktop applications. Some are abstract in nature some are true real-world OO models. The long term aim would be to port some of these projects to . Net and develop alternative browser-front-ends but initial development continue as W32 apps.

About you:

You will need to be motivated, self-starting and above all enthusiastic. You will be a UK resident, ideally located in London or near South East London. You will be a good programmer with an excellent attention to detail, with a love of problem-solving and computing and you will have a generally sharp mind. Enormous amounts of experience are not required as additional training can be given but you will need to be a competent Delphi developer, have sound knowledge of object orientated programming techniques and will have a good knowledge of HTML and related technologies (such as Css) that can be built upon. Javascript and .Net knowledge would be a distinct advantage but are not essential. As a first project you would be developing an existing standalone desktop application, adding exciting new functionality and maintaining existing code. You will need to be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of Delphi (though this need not be commercial experience) and you will be able to provide examples of your work.

Key role info:

• previous experience as Win32 Delphi developer (though not necessarily commercial)
• demonstrable experience will be favoured over an untested academic record
• good HTML knowledge (css, js an advantage, though training can be given)
• must be a self-starter able to manage own work, working with a high degree of freedom

Key conditions info:

• primarily working from home (PC, Broadband, software etc supplied if required)
• regular face-to-face meetings in (South East) London will be required
• flexible hours
• start date negotiable
• salary £25k - £35k full time, depending on experience (or negotiable as part-time)
